(Design-Build Dam Project - Adirondacks)
Steve Trombley
My name is Steve Trombley. 8 Years ago our pond in the Adirondacks was flooded out and ruined, all that was left was a little creek and we were totally devastated. We needed new plans for the DEC and Core of Engineers. We hired an engineering firm and after many hours & money I could see this was not working, they had no idea how to go about completing this project then along came Dan Sutterby. (A gift from above) he took care of everything - Permit, Drawings, Core of Engineers. We became very good friends and thanks to him we had our pond back BETTER THAN EVER!!!

(Shoreline Repair, Otisco Lake)

Dan worked on our shoreline in the Fall of 2019. Dan was professional and proficient with competitive prices. Our biggest accolade for Sutterby Construction was that we were kept informed by Dan throughout the entire project. He would either call us or email us with updates at regular intervals. He answered all our questions and there were no surprises. Because of his professional connections and relationships, the permitting process went smoothly. The job was completed within the timeline Dan had provided us. We would highly recommend Sutterby Construction.

Well, with regard to your work we can say that:
Your estimates are accurate of what it will cost to do the job.
Your work is of the highest quality.
You are trustworthy; not only do you do what the contract says; but we can be away from home and you can do the work while we are not there.
With the projects that still need to be done at our home, a call to Dan Sutterby will be the only call made.

(Redi-Rock Seawall, Skaneateles Lake)
Joe
Dan Sutterby designed our sea wall with painstaking precision, skillfully overcame any obstacle, and masterfully created the sea wall my family and I dreamed of. The wall stands today exactly as it stood when it was built ten years ago: strong, durable, immovable. The wall was built tough.

Sheet Pile Seawall & Boardwalk, Skaneateles Lake

Working with Dan Sutterby and Sutterby Construction was a professional and pleasant experience. From the initial scope of work to walking through the estimate, discussing how the project was to take place, how long the project was to take was a respectful and professional process. For my wife and I it was extremely important to have good communication throughout the project and to have respect and minimal disruption to our property. All this was achieved and we have a seawall to last a lifetime.

(Steep Slope Stabilization & Hillside Elevator, Keuka Lake)
RICHARD N. OSGOOD, P.E.
I have had the opportunity to work with Mr. Dan Sutterby on two extremely challenging projects near Branchport, New York.
The two sites were on separate parcels owned by one family. The first project was the design and installation of an exterior elevator system to traverse a very steep hillside with stops at the top and at the floor level of the hillside home. The parabolic track system was difficult but the owner, after rethinking his needs, decided he also needed an additional stop at the lake. So a redesigned track system was necessary in a short period of time with the associated field work necessary to accomplish this project. Dan performed beautifully. The elevator works perfectly and fits the landscape amazingly well. This elevator now provides safe access and egress from a home that serves a family, some with physical limitations, which can now enjoy Keuka Lake even more fully.
The second site was the parcel north of the elevator. After much thought the owner felt it necessary to adapt this site work for a proposed new home. This new home will be served by the previously constructed elevator and available for guests and extended family. Unfortunately this site had been ravaged by the original site contractor to access the adjacent property and was not reclaimed after the original home was constructed.
To correct this damage a series of retaining walls were necessary to be constructed in a very confined area. Dan's engineering background was put to the test once again. Redi Rock walls were built and back-filled correctly to make the transition from an unclaimed site to one that retains the slope, provides area for sewage treatment and makes a non-usable lakefront lot attractive and functional.
If you have a difficult project, I recommend you utilize the talents of Dan Sutterby.
